THE ARTIST
Sudisha Ruder ( Sue )
A colorful life, with a degree majoring in Geography/ Geology and Psychology a UHDE with two years teaching experience and nine modules away from an LLB, one could say she is a fairly accomplished “scholar”.
However, that’s not how she sees herself, she categorically confirms that there is much to still learn with her motto being ” You get one life in which to do one thing OR one in which to do everything”.
A boho carefree gypsy personality balanced with a shy sprinkle of what her loved ones playfully term “mild OCD” she is truly at her best either entertaining or creating her brand of poignant art…..
Having traversed a life journey in business starting in gold and diamond jewelry, three art galleries, a restaurant, wholesaling fruit and veg her passion and creativity was always in the arts…What has been a lifelong hobby became her new business after selling off all her mainstream businesses.
A mother to two young men, and a mother in law to a ” daughter” she lives with her husband, who has encouraged and supports her creativity and inspires her passion.
Each Creation is a visual prayer to a higher power, no matter the name you give it.
COUNTRY CHIC INTRODUCTION
Initially starting as a fascination with creating unique bespoke pieces for Family friends and acquaintances in the form of decorative centrepieces, festive decor as well as mosaic art pieces as gifting, this morphed into a business attracting and servicing a niche market after the founders sold up their mainstream business.
As with all of people we generally are passionate about capturing uniqueness that is reflective of our individuality, and channel our creativity into the tangible, however the residue of our mainstream education ( as is the of the artist who has a university degree majoring in Geography/Geology and Psychology, a post grad teaching diploma and 9 modules outstanding in conquering an LLB…) directs us into placing all of originality and inspiration on the back burner as the perils of life dominate.
The above are what one makes a living out off, builds success in business careers and possessions however very few make a living out of what we Driven to love…
Someone has said loving what you do, assures you never ” work” a day in your life.
The sale of the all conventional business interests broke the ceiling of excuses and hence was born Country Chic.
